We believe adult learning fosters a lifelong commitment to personal spiritual growth, expanding Jewish intellectual society, and passing Jewish literacy and learning from generation to generation.

Ahavath Achim offers adult education opportunities throughout the year with regularly scheduled classes, special programming, guest speakers and special events.

Beginners Prayer Book

Do you want to know what the prayers we say actually mean? Where they came from? How to say them? Why we say them? When to stand? When to sit? And WHY? Join Rabbi Laurence Rosenthal directly after evening Minyan and before our new Hebrew class for an exploration into the siddur. Use your new Hebrew skills to practice reading, understanding the service and how you can improve your prayer life.

The class will meet once per week at 6:30 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday (October 18 - November 1) and 6:00 - 7:00 pm (November 8 - January 10).
