Our congregation offers a traditional Shabbat Morning service begining at 9:00AM. However we recognize that many people may not be prepared to attend an entire service of that length (about 3 hours), and we have designed our Kabbalat Shabbat alternative services and morning worship as an a-la-carte offering, as well as, Shabbat ShAAlOM at 11:00AM.

Shabbat Babysitting

Every Shabbat Morning 9:00AM - 1:00PM. Now you have a choice... you don't have to worry about keeping your young children occupied during services anymore! Every Shabbat, we offer babysitting for ages 8 weeks - 5 years. No cost or RSVP required.

Family Shabbat Service

Family services take place the first Shabbat morning of the month from 10:00AM-12:00PM. PK-7th Grade... You don't have to attend our Religious School to enjoy our family service. 10:00-11:00AM: Torah Study for students and parents | 11:00AM-12:00PM: Interactive family service; Join Rabbi Rosenthal, Marcia Lindner, and Janet Schatten for this spiritual and interactive Shabbat Morning Family Service for all children ages 4-12. Age appropriate Torah Study, Experiential Tefilah, Special Kiddush and Participation in the Main Congregation. This Service replaces Sunday Religious School.

Shabbat Morning

While we welcome you to join us for the entire service, we want you to feel comfortable about arriving whenever you do so and about participating in the portion(s) of the service that enable you to have the Shabbat morning experience you seek. 

The first hour of our service, Pesukei D’zimra, Shacharit and the beginning of the Torah Service are largely about individual and personal prayer. It’s a perfect time to go at your own pace and do what you choose to do. The second hour is the Torah Service. This is a time to listen to the Torah Reading and learn from the comments of our rabbis (or to go to the separate Torah Study session in a nearby conference room). The final hour includes the rabbi’s sermon, Torah Study discussion in the service, and communal worship as we offer the Musaf Amidah and conclude our service. 

At the noon hour we all re-group from our chosen locations for a relaxed opportunity to enjoy a wonderful Kiddush lunch and time to visit with each other. 

Shabbat Morning Torah Study

Throughout most of the year we offer a weekly one-hour Shabbat Morning Torah Study session from 10:00AM–11:00AM in the Cavalier Room near our chapel. Most of the sessions are facilitated by congregant volunteers who lead lively discussions.
