florarosefskyaMazal Tov to Flora Rosefsky whose mixed-media collage work, “Divide the Waters” was selected by juror Ruth Weisberg for the Jewish Women’s Artist Network (JWAN) exhibition “Song of the Land” at the Hebrew Union College Institute of Religion in Los Angeles, California. JWAN is a special interest group within the Women’s Caucus for Art.  The exhibition is in “The Mercaz” ongoing through May 31, 2012, and explores the contemporary issues of protecting and sustaining the Earth.

Mazal Tov to Sylvia Friedman on the marriage of her granddaughter, Laurel Friedman to Ayhan Aytes. Others sharing the joy are the parents, Barry Friedman & Dr. Sharon Hodges and Sabiha Aytes; and grandmother Judy Hodges. The couple were wed February 11, 2012 in Lakeland, Florida.

Janet has enriched the Ahavath Achim Synagogue and has been a vital member of the Epstein Community for over 25 years.  She has led Perachim and taught classes at AA, as well as been a teacher, Jewish family educator and Director of Student & Family Life at The Epstein School.
