Adult Education

The Goodman Institute
(est. 2002) makes it possible for every member of the AA community to travel his/her own path to Jewish learning. We offer a wide variety of programs (mostly free of charge) designed to serve the needs of beginning learners, advanced learners and everyone in between. Our scope includes the fundamental texts of Conservative Judaism, Jewish history, Zionism and Israel, religious beliefs, practices and rituals, Jewish philosophy, Hebrew language and all aspects of Jewish culture, including literature, music, art and drama.

As such, the Community Beit Midrash is the first adult text study program in Atlanta that includes all denominations.

This month's TOPIC:

A Woman of Valor, Who Can Find?

Our Guests:

Husband and wife team Sim Pearl, Head of The Weber School, and Dr. Elana Zimand, Psychologist and Jewish Educator, will present opposing viewpoints - one tra-ditional and one feminist - on the blessing which Jewish husbands bestow on their wives at Shabbat dinner. Join us for the liveliest evening of text study and discussion in Atlanta!
